Web Browsing, Online Gaming, Chat and MP3 Music Now Among Features Available to PlayStation 2 Owners in Japan
REDWOOD SHORES, Planetweb®, a leading provider of applications and services for consumer electronic devices, and Ergosoft Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Koei Co. Ltd., have shipped an Internet solution for PlayStation® 2 computer entertainment system into stores in Japan today.
Consumers in Japan are now able to enjoy the benefits of Internet browsing and email enabled by this solution. The Japanese version of the Planetweb Web browser is published by Ergosoft and known as the ``EGBROWSER'' in Japan. EGBROWSER for PlayStation 2 supports multiple USB modems developed for PlayStation 2 and can be purchased as a bundled product with various USB modems.
Users will be able to easily connect their modem to the USB port in their PlayStation 2 and get online within a matter of minutes. In addition, USB printer and USB keyboard are supported as options. This instant Internet connectivity brings a new level of entertainment to the gaming market.

Ergosoft has obtained an exclusive sales and distribution right of Planetweb PlayStation 2 Internet software and network middleware in Japan, and is the exclusive distributor for the Planetweb PlayStation 2 browser products in the Japanese market. |
