Message Text: Intel plans to introduce new versions of its 915P and 915G chipsets in March, shifting the core stepping of the ICH6 southbridge from B1 to the C0 stepping.

The shift to the new core stepping is aimed at enhancing the stability of data transmission for the USB and Serial ATA (SATA) interfaces, the sources noted.

The core stepping of both the 925X for the performance segment and the E72221 for the workstation market will, however, remain unchanged, said the sources.
