According to DigiTimes, MET Technology is negotiating with Ricoh about taking over Ricoh?s ODD business and expects to make a decision in the first quarter of 2005
Ricoh has decided to discontinue its ODD business and may shift R&D resources, orders, component suppliers, patents and clients or some of these items to MET, the Taiwan company indicated.
On December 23, MET formally denied some local newspaper reports that MET will purchase Ricoh?s ODD business group. Purchasing the ODD business is on the table as an option, but nothing has been determined so far, the company stressed. |
