Message Text: Epson has introduced the F-3200, a multi-format, 3200dpi dedicated film scanner.

The Epson F-3200 has film holders for 35mm strip and mounted transparencies, panoramic film and medium and large format film up to 4-x-5inch.

The Epson F-3200 offers USB 2.0 and FireWire connectivity. It also includes a built-in memory card reader, so images can be written directly to memory cards.

The scanner has dedicated lamp systems for negative and positive film and offers the ability to preview images using a built-in LCD screen.

In addition to the Epson Scan software, which includes functionality for batch scanning, the F-3200 comes with Silverfast AI 6 software for image editing and dust and scratch removal.

The F-3200 is expected to retail at around £467 plus VAT in the UK. Availability dates haven't yet been given.
