Message Text: According to DigiTimes, Foxconn Electronics on October 8 signed a letter of intent with Behavior Tech Computer (BTC) to produce optical disc drives (ODDs) for BTC, according to the companies.

Foxconn entered the ODD production business about five years ago, when it invested in Pan International Industrial, a Taiwan ODD maker, and began recruiting staff for research and development. In March of this year, the company purchased the Thomson Group's pick-up heads (PUHs) production lines in China.
