 Maxtor offers OneTouch II external drives

Message Text: Maxtor has launched the Maxtor OneTouch II external hard drive. Available in 250 and 300GB sizes, at 7,200rpm, with FireWire and USB2.0 connections, Maxtor claims the drives offer simple push-button back up.

Once the software is installed and the drive is configured, the Maxtor OneTouch II drive will automatically back up your work, the company claims. Maxtor also claims that the drive is ideal storage for editing photos, video and high-end graphics.

The DriveLock provides password-protected security for the contents of the drive once the PC is powered down or the drive is removed. The drive also creates historical backup versions with full system restore to a point in time, according to Maxtor.

Currently available from the Maxtor Web store, the suggested retail prices for the drives are £203 plus VAT for the 250GB version and £220...
