Message Text: Retail prices of DVD burners in the Taiwanese market generally dropped last week.

Prices continue to drop for locally made 16x DVD burners without DL (single-sided double layer) support, reaching a low price of NT$3,700-3,900, according to local retail channels.

In addition, prices of 16x DVD-ROM drives and 52x CD-RW burners also slipped from NT$1,100-1,200 (US$32-35) to below NT$1,000 (US$29).
