Sonic AuthorScript Used in Kodak EasyShare Software 4.0

Sonic Solutions(R) (Nasdaq:SNIC) announced today that Sonic AuthorScript(R), the world's leading CD and DVD formatting and burning engine, will be used in Kodak EasyShare Software 4.0.
Kodak's popular digital photography software provides millions of consumers with a simple way to organize, print, and share their digital pictures, all with one application. By incorporating Sonic AuthorScript into EasyShare Software 4.0, users will now have the ability to easily archive their photos onto CDs with just a few clicks of the mouse.
Sonic will also make available its MyDVD Slideshow(TM) for CD so that EasyShare Software users (with optional upgrade) can convert their photo projects into Video-CD slideshows for playback on DVD players and multimedia PCs. The new version of Kodak EasyShare Software, which is included with Kodak's EasyShare cameras and printer docks, can also be downloaded for free from http://www.kodak.com/go/easysharesw/.

The new Kodak EasyShare Software 4.0 for Windows and Macintosh systems provides effortless digital picture organization, editing, sharing and printing. The latest version incorporates enhanced e-mail powered by Ofoto, Kodak's online sharing service; an Express Upload feature for keeping Ofoto online albums current, the ability to edit pictures in third-party applications, and the aforementioned optional Video CD and DVD burning. Its exclusive One Touch to Better Pictures feature takes advantage of proprietary color technologies developed by Kodak to help users get vibrant, true-to-life prints from inkjet printers.

Kodak EasyShare Software 4.0 includes a direct link for users to download a trial version of MyDVD Slideshow for CD that can create Video CD slideshows directly from pictures in their on-screen albums. These Video CD slideshows can be played on most DVD players and incorporate Sonic OpenDVD(R) technology, which makes it possible for the slideshows to be edited and revised later. EasyShare Software users can also receive a special discount on MyDVD Slideshow for CD by upgrading to the full version from within the application.
