Message Text: Highest possible degree of flexibility with rapid and simple data backup. These two new double layer DVD writers from TEAC write DVD+/-R media at impressive high speeds.

The DV-W516G achieves 16x performance with DVD+R, 8x performance with DVD-R, while the DV-W516D writes with 16x speed with both formats, +R and -R. Along with DVD+/-RW media, both drives also support DVD double layer media.

Once again TEAC comply with new specification standards, and with the DV-W516G and DV-W516D willsimultaneously launch two double layer DVD drives on the market at the end of August.

With a 16x write speed with DVD+R and DVD-R media and the capacity to save 8.5 GB on double layer media (which corresponds with approx. four hours of video in DVD quality), TEAC continue their success story in the DVDburner market, and with the top model DV-W516D, optimise the usage possibilities of the most demanding DVD users. With DVD+/-RW media, both of these DVD recorders, the DV-W516G and the DV-W516D, actually attain 4x burning performance.

With writing speed in the CD-R area, the DV-W516G is, however, faster than the expanded DV-W516D model and writes CD-R media at 48x. The CD-RW performance with both drives is 24x.

New Software for Better Processing
Better performances with recording, processing and saving video files, with the creation of music archives and with setting own image databases will definitely impress customers and specialist dealers alike.

The new double layer DVD burners from TEAC are delivered with the CyberLink DVD Solution software package, which offers numerous applications and technologies. With this all-in-one solution, every type of media can be produced, processed, edited and reproduced.

Among other elements integrated into the package is the Power Producer program, with which photo, music and film DVDs/CDs can be quickly and effortlessly created. The Power Director software, which enables video, title, audio, speed and transition effects and demanding slide shows to be developed with no problems whatsoever, ensures that the appropriate effects are available.

The Media Show tools are provided for refined multimedia presentations in networks or on CD ROMs. Pictures, video and audio files can be quickly and easily linked with one another and integrated into presentations.

The right sound for real music enjoyment is supported by two programmes at once. Power2Go makes it easy to transfer music elements from a CD to the hard disk as WAV, MP3 or WMA file. User-friendly burning with this software is made even easier with drag-and-drop. Plus! The comprehensive music system, Musicmatch, makes effortless encoding of all music titles in MP3 files absolutely simple.

Easy to install, both the new double Layer DVD drive, the DV-W516G, and the expanded DV-W516D model from TEAC exhibit excellent features through their fast processing speed and numerous burning functions that cover practically every requirement the user could have. Both of these DVD recorders including kit are priced at EUR 99 (VAT included).
