Message Text: Set to hit the market October 1, the Digital Recording Hard Disk Drive VRP-T5 is the latest 160GB hard drive video recording device from Sony.

The product, which links to Sony's digital TVs and TV tuners via the i.LINK interface, enables users to record up to 17 hours of high-definition digital terrestrial broadcasting, or 42 hours of lower quality standard digital broadcasting.

The compact 2.5kg unit measures 171x58x305mm, and is priced at 73,500 yen ($674).
