Samsung announces TS-H542 12X+R writer

Samsung Electronics announces their new Writemaster (named for all Samsung brand DVD Writers), which is a 12X DVD Dual Writer, the TS-H542. This high-end device is capable of reading and writing in both DVD+ and DVD- formats, delivering exceptionally high performance.

It can write up to 12X speed on DVD+R, 8X speed on DVD-R disc, rewrite up to 4X speed on DVD+RW and DVD-RW disc, write up to 40X speed on CD-R, rewrite up to 24X speed on CD-RW disc.

It takes less than 7 minutes to backup 4.7GB data on a DVD+R disc at 12X and this means that a capacity of 2hours of a DVD movie or 9 hours of VHS visuals can be put into one DVD disc with high compatibility, higher convenience and larger capacity.

To optimize recording performance under high speed, partial CAV, which records the data at a high constant speed, is adapted, ABS(Auto Ball Balancing System) reduces the vibration and noise and Buffer Under Run Free Technology enhances the writing reliability.

The TS-H542 supports DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW discs and all CD formats and the SAT(Speed Adjustment Technology) function enables the drive to automatically adjust to the most proper speed depending on the playing disc.

2MB buffer memory and power saving function is also included.

With all these high technologies based drive and the bundled software, users will find it easy and exciting to make their own masterpiece of videos, music, photos and data onto any DVD or CD disc.
