Daystar ships USB video capture tool

Daystar Technology has announced the XLR8 InterView 3.0 USB video capture hardware/software bundle. The product, compatible with Mac and Windows PCs, supports capture from any video device, the company claims.

InterView USB includes QuickTime with full support, including MPEG-4 streaming via QuickTime Broadcaster, according to Daystar. It provides real-time 320-x-240, internet ready, USB video capture.

Combining technologies from XLR8, iRez, ArcSoft and EchoFX, Daystar has expanded InterView for multiple device support, and Windows XP compatibility. For ease of use, Daystar has added the ArcSoft VideoImpression editing and capture application.

Daystar claims that XLR8 InterView 3.0 includes all the hardware and software needed to grab video/audio from any normal camera, recorder or deck. The bundle costs $89 (around 50).
