Matsushita settles DVD patent row with Canada's Cinram

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co has settled its DVD patent dispute with Canada's Cinram International Inc

Under an agreement to settle Matsushita's suit filed with a U.S. district court in Delaware in December 2001 against Cinram's alleged infringement of the Japanese firm's DVD patents, the Canadian firm will pay patent royalties as well as a settlement package, Matsushita officials said.
