Matsushita will build the world's largest plasma display panel factory with an annual output of 3 million panels in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture, according to Japanese press.

Matsushita will invest as much as 90 billion yen for the new plant and construction will begin as early as this summer. The Sankei Shimbun put the amount of investment at around 100 billion yen and said construction will start in September and mass production is set for November next year.
