Plextor Europe released a detailed list with the recommended DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW and DVD-RW media for the upcoming PX-712A ATAPI 12x DVD burner, available in May.
Currently the drive supports only three media brands for DVD+R recording at the maximum 12x, while the 8x DVD-R compatibile media list is longer. In case of DVD-R, it seems that the 4x media will not be burned at 8x. Of course these issues are controlled by firmware so we expect this list to change soon. For more information visit
