Nvidia announces acquisition of Iready

NVIDIA Corporation, the worldwide leader in visual processing solutions, today announced that it has acquired the technology assets of iReady, a provider of high performance TCP/IP and iSCSI offload solutions.

The assets include intellectual property, patents, and patent applications. A core group of iReady engineers has accepted positions at NVIDIA. Terms of the agreement were not announced.

Privately-held iReady Corp.'s patented Ethernet technologies provide highly scalable, full transport offload for ultra-high-performance Ethernet networking. With this move Nvidia focuses on the network section and will offer high-end LAN solutions.

Perhaps in some time Nvidia will offer an integrated computer solution for gaming purposes.
