Matsushitas Blue-Ray Disc recorder, expecting to market in July 2004


Matsushita Electric Industrial Co, Ltd is going to be a maker of Blue-Ray Disc recorder hardware.
The device is like known DVD recorders, but with capability of recording HDTV broadcasts.

Also is going to offer support for rewritable Single sided – Dual layered Blu-ray Disc, DVD-R/-RAM media and a digital built in tuner including terrestrial and satellite broadcasts, supporting "BS" and "CS” types.

This device expecting to be priced far to lower than 500,000 yen.
