New DVD video locking system from Cipher Multimedia

An agreement has been signed with Cipher Multimedia and film publisher Dream World Productions, with the last one to include additional locked videos on all its DVD releases.

New video distribution campaigns are to be developed, offering the ability to the costumer to purchase a DVD of his likes after watching a trailer of the locked movie. Once purchased the video is immediately available to view with unlimited use from the customer's PC. The unlock or purchase is transacted online with a credit card.

Cipher will share in the revenues from video sales with Dream World. Financial details were undisclosed.
