Teac announced the CDRW-W552G 52x CD-RW recorder and the DW-552G CD/DVD combo drive. Both drives can write at 52x speed for CD-R discs and at 32x speed for CD-RWs. The CD reading speed is at 52x for drives and additionally the Combo DW-552G drive is able to read DVDs at 16x.

Both drives come with 2MB buffer Ram and support IDE/ATAPI interface. The supported writing modes are the disc-at-once, session-at-once, packet write and track-at-once.

Availability in the market is expected end of February.
