Sony PSX firmware upgrade available on February 10


Sony announced that the availability of the new firmware upgrade of PSX will start on February 10. The firmware will be available for free downloading through the Sony website as well as in a free CD-ROM (February 25).

The basic upgrades are the following:

- The recording speed from HDD to DVD is improved to 24X max.
- Support of TIFF images
- MP3 playback support
- Support of USB keyboard
