Emc, Samsung announce data storage alliance deal


EMC, the world's third-largest storage computer maker, said it has signed a strategic alliance with Samsung, the world's largest memory-chip maker.

Under the deal, Samsung Electronics will provide main parts for data storage computers under an original design manufacturing contract. In return, the semiconductor giant will sell EMC's storage products in the Korean market.
