Memorex adds 52X combo drive to optical storage lineup

Memorex enhances its optical drive line-up with a new 52X CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo Drive. The recorder reads and records CDs at 52X, rewrites CDs at 32X, and reads and plays DVDs at 16X speeds.

The Memorex 52X Combo Drive solution comes with a comprehensive software and hardware bundle that includes:

* Samples of Memorex's award-winning CD-R and CD-RW blank media, an installation hardware kit and documentation.
* Ahead Software's NeroBurning(R) ROM 5.5.
* Ahead Software's InCD(R) 4, packet writing solution.
* CyberLink's PowerDVD(TM) XP 4 and Medi@Show DVD playback software.

The drive also features innovative Smart-Burn® Technology that automatically checks media quality and sets the burning speed for optimal writing. The software and accessories included with the Memorex 52X Combo Drive make installation quick, backup simple and professional recording easy.

The Memorex 52X CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo Drive is in U.S retail stores this month for an estimated street price of $79.99. Memorex optical storage products include toll-free technical support and a limited one-year warranty.
