Teac announces multi DVD drive for notebooks


Teac announced a new 4X DVD±R and DVD-RAM recorder for notebooks. The DV-W24E will be put in the OEM market from the beginning of February.

The drive offers 4x DVD±R, 2X DVD-RW, 4X DVD+RW, and 2X DVD-RAM writing. For the CD format the drive is able to record at 16X CD-R, and 8X CD-RW. The cache buffer is 8MB.

The dimensions of the drive are 128x129.4x12.7mm (wxdxh), and its weight is less than 220g.
