Iomega announced a new USB 2.0 external burner. The drive is a 52x24x52 CD-RW and a DVD-ROM 16x combo.

In case the drive is connected through USB 1.1, the performance lowers to 4x burning and 6x reading, due to lower data rates offered.

The drive is expected in the market in the beginning of February at a price of 130 euros. The retail package includes Sonic DVD player and the Iomega HotBurn for burning CD's.
