Infodisc lands pre-recorded DVD orders from MGM

Infodisc Technology on January 6 announced that it has received new orders for pre-recorded DVDs from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM).

The new orders cover movie DVDs for the Region 1 market (the US and Canada), Region 3 (Southeast Asia and Taiwan), and Japan (in Region 2), according to the company. However, the other markets in Region 2, Europe, the Middle East and South Africa, are not included.

Region 1, accounting for 65% of global demand, is Infodisc’s target market, the company indicated. The company is trying to increase its competitiveness by expanding its production capacity in Taiwan and South Korea and promoting its capability to produce DVD-14 and DVD-18 discs.
