JVC announced portable High-Definition video player


JVC announced the new CU-VH1 portable digital video video player capable of playing 750/30p high-definition video. The device is expected in the market early January 2004.

The CU-VH1 supports 525/60p progressive-wide, 525/60i standard DV as well as DVC and 525/60i MiniDV formats. The player incorporates up and down converter capability to support all kinds of TV inputs.

The dimensions of the player are 211 x 52 x 154mm, and its weights is 1,145g (including battery and tape). The devices uses an 3.5-inch LCD screen.
