52/32 combo drive by LiteOn


LiteOn announced the SOHC-5232K IDE combo CD-RW. The drive supports 52x/32x/52x CD-RW and 16x DVD-ROM. Estimated street price is expected to be less than 100 Euros.

The drive features the LiteOn's SMART-BURN to avoid Buffer Under Run errors, automatically adjust writing strategy as well as the running OPC to provide the best burning quality. The SMART-X (Smart Monitoring & Adjusting Read-speed) technology ensures quality eXtraction while the VAS® system reduces vibration & noise during recording & reading.

The security of the recording procedure is also maintained with the 2MB buffer.

The ATAPI drive support Mt, Rainier, variable and fixed packet Writing, TAO, DAO, SAO and Raw wriitng modes, as well as overburning up to 99min.
