NEC announces new 8X DVD burners at IFA


NEC announced the upcoming ND-2300A DVD burner at IFA 2003, supporting 8X DVD writing for both DVD+R and DVD-R formats.

The ND-2300A is planned to be available by Christmas. The drive will also support 4X DVD-RW and DVD+RW writing, burns CD-R at 32X and CD-RW at 24X.

A "plus" version of the upcoming drive is the ND-2100A, supporting only the DVD+R/+RW format, available in the market by October at an estimated price of 299 EU. The ND-2300A is planned to be sold later sat a price of 333 EU.
