The RAM Promotion Group is an industry organization established by Hitachi, Hitachi-LG Data Storage, Hitachi Maxell, LG Electronics, Matsushita Electric Industrial,(Panasonic), Samsung Electronics, Teac, Toshiba and JVC.

Being already members of the Recordable DVD Council (RDVDC), the companies are expecting to increase the popularity of the DVD-RAM and establish it as the main recording format in PC, consumer electronics and other related applications.
