Digital video recording, Blue laser video recording, Blue laser and content capture and playback on tap for optical storage symposium

The Optical Storage Technology Association (OSTA) announced that it is hosting Optical Storage Symposium - 2003, to be held Oct. 13 and 14, 2003, at the La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif.

The event is co-located with the Consumer Electronics Association's Industry Forum to enable attendees from both conferences to attend selected joint activities, including a joint CEA/OSTA Session on Monday, Oct. 13.

OSTA's second annual Optical Storage Symposium provides a venue at which business and technology leaders from a diverse range of industry segments including consumer electronics, digital photography, entertainment, music, personal computers, and optical storage can exchange ideas and address issues. Through a day and a half of presentations and roundtable forums, lively debates will focus on perspectives and prospects for optical storage technology. Following are highlights of the Optical Storage Symposium - 2003. Additional details and registration information can be found online at http://www.osta.org/oss.
