BMI 4X DVD +/- R External recorder for $299.

BMI, Incorporated is now shipping its 4X DVD +/- R External Combination interface PC / Mac compatible drive for a suggested retail price of $299. The drive dubbed the, “BMI MultiSpin” offers maximum flexibility for the consumer with it dual platform (Mac and PC) support, dual interface (FireWire and USB 2.0) and dual media standards support (both the –R and +R standards).

With both DVD Recordable media standards supported there will be no room for end user confusion over which kind of media to purchase. Every modern computer has a FireWire or USB interface so anyone can connect to the BMI MultiSpin drive.

With Microsoft® announcing support for Mt. Rainier–capable DVD+RW drives, "fast formatting" of DVD+RW media is possible, which allows a disc to be ready for drag-and-drop style writing in seconds instead of the minutes it currently takes. BMI is pleased to be a part of this cutting edge shift in the industry.

BMI products are available through mail order catalogs and e-commerce sites including: Tiger Direct, PC Mall, Mac Mall, Cub Mac, the Zones, online4tech.com and more catalogs, e-commerce sites and retailers are signing up to carry BMI DVD products by this summer.
