Don't burn your fingers! Freecom Traveller II plus...

The Freecom Traveller II PLUS range includes a DVD-ROM drive, a CD-RW, a CD-RW/DVD combo and a DVD-RW drive. The compact notebook drives are just as small as their predecessors, and hardly larger than a CD itself: the 1.9 cm flat design housing however contains all the power you need. Thanks to the built-in, rechargeable battery, the drives of the Traveller II PLUS range can be used any time, anywhere and completely independent of a mains supply.

The Flagship of the Traveller II PLUS range is the new Freecom DVD writer: with the new Traveller II PLUS DVD-RW Freecom offers the smallest external notebook DVD writer currently on the market. Any time and anywhere: as an external notebook drive, the Freecom DVD-RW is ideally suited for mobile use. The Traveller II PLUS DVD writer runs with any personal computer, independent of an external power supply; with a notebook or a PC, simply connect and away you go. The integrated power module of the Traveller II PLUS is charged up automatically as soon as the drive is connected to the laptop via the PCCard cable, i.e. no additional power supply unit is needed when on the move. When using the USB-2 cable supplied, e.g. with a desktop PC, the power module provides power for up to 3 hours, after which it can be recharged using the PCCard cable or the universal power supply unit.

The Traveller II PLUS DVD-RW, as with all other drives in the Traveller range is supplied with PCard and USB2 cables, aswell as the integrated power module. The external DVD writer also includes Power DVD for playing DVD films and the Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 software, for writing CDs and DVDs. The Freecom Traveller II PLUS DVD-RW will be available in shops from February 2003 at a price of 549 €*.
