Roxio becomes Exclusive Digital Media Software Provider for Freecom CD/DVD recorders


Roxio announced today a strategic partnership with Freecom, becoming the exclusive, global software provider for Freecom's entire CD/DVD recordable drive portfolio.

"Easy CD Creator and Toast are recognized around the world as the best CD/DVD burning products available and we are thrilled to be able to offer them to our customers as part of a complete burning solution," said Axel Lucassen, Co-Founder and VP Sales and Marketing, Freecom. "We are excited to be taking this step to expand on our long standing relationship with Roxio," he added.

Roxio will provide its market leading software packages including CD burning software Easy CD Creator and Toast enabling Freecom to offer its business and home users a complete burning solution.

"Freecom is known for developing innovative and distinctive products and we are very excited to be aligned with them," said Nick Hall, OEM Sales Manager, EMEA, Roxio. "Our award winning burning technology will provide Freecom's customers with a reliable, easy to use solution for data storage and backup, along with a variety of multimedia capabilities."

Freecom recently released their Freecom Portable II DVD+RW/+R with Easy CD Creator and Toast in Europe for the suggested retail price of £349.
