Global opto-electronic component production to grow 10% on-year


Global production of opto-electronics components will rise 10.1% this year, outpacing all other opto-electronics sectors, the Taiwan-based Photonics Industry and Technology Development Association (PIDA) projects. PIDA forecasts total opto-electronics production will grow for the second consecutive year, by 6.9% to US$159.962 billion. Opto-electronics components include light-emitting and image sensor devices and solar batteries.
