NovaStor releases new Disk-to-Disk backup with Recordable CD and DVD support


NovaStor Corporation, a global provider of backup and disaster recovery solutions, has advanced its top-selling consumer and small business backup software with the release of NovaBackup 7.0. To accommodate the fast-growing desire to backup to recordable DVD media, a new data writing engine has been built into NovaBackup 7.0 to give seamless backup support for DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R and DVD+RW drives in addition to existing support for CD-R and CD-RW drives.

This new version of NovaBackup delivers simple, easy-to-use data protection with its completely redesigned user interface including a new step-by-step backup and restore wizard for guiding users through common tasks.

With the low cost and high availability of disk-based storage devices, NovaStor's NovaBackup 7.0 makes an ideal companion product for enabling users of all levels to make fast and reliable backups of their ever-growing amounts of critical data.

NovaBackup 7.0 is available in two different editions. The Professional Edition runs on Windows workstation environments such as Windows 98, Me, NT Workstation, 2000 Professional and XP. The NovaBackup 7.0 Server Edition runs on Windows NT and 2000 server platforms and can perform scheduled backups securely while the administrator is logged out and the server is securely locked down.

NovaBackup 7.0 is currently available direct from NovaStor's web site at www.novastor.com or any NovaStor Registered Reseller. NovaBackup 7.0 Professional Edition has a list price of $79.95 and NovaBackup 7.0 Server Edition has a list price of $149.95. Both editions of NovaBackup 7.0 include a free copy of NovaStor's brand new personal disaster recovery software, InstantRecovery 4.0 Personal Edition.
