4M launches Ultragreen CD-R stamper

4M Systems recently introduced to CD-R manufacturers its new stamper developed specifically for the Ciba IRGAPHOR Ultragreen MX dye. According to the company, the stamper assures compatibility with high recording speeds of new CD-R drives.

Discs manufactured from the stamper and recorded with 700MB of CD-ROM data were tested by LiteOn IT, a firm supporting the 4M ATIP code for 48x writing speed. The firm reported successful recording sessions on high-speed writers including Plextor (24x, 48x, 52x), Traxdata (40x), TDK (32x, 40x, 52x) and TEAC (32x). Tests with more drive brands are currently underway.
