This sophisticated device combines very high laser light sensitivity with advanced signal processing to deliver an ideal solution for today's most advanced writeable DVD and CD drives. The SP8126 produces an output voltage relative to the power of the laser light, and by switching at speeds of 300V/us with a settling time of only 7ns the device will allow DVD write speeds up to 8X while protecting the laser from overstress.
