Cinram pays RIAA $10M for infringement claims


The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced the settlement of claims involving the replication of CDs by Cinram International Inc. that allegedly infringed copyrights owned by RIAA members. Cinram agreed to pay $10.1 million to settle all claims, $2 million of which will be earmarked as part of the RIAA's contribution to the recently-announced MUSIC Coalition campaign against online piracy.
