Seagate Brings The BarraCuda Brand to New SSD


Seagate has just announced the new Seagate BarraCuda SSD, with capacities up to 2TB.

The new 2.5-inch SSD provides maximum sequential read and write speeds, reaching 540/520 MB/s. Obviously, it is not the fastest around, but it has been designed to be a cost-effective solution designed for those needing to a speedy boot drive for their laptops and PCs.

The SATA 6 Gb/s SSD is available in capacities of 250GB, 500GB, and 1TB and 2TB and comes with a 5 year warranty. Current prices over Amazon.com are $120 for the 250GB and $230 for the 1TB version.
