First specs of Sony's super combo DVD recorder!


The basic specs of Sony's new super combo DVD recorder have become known, at least to AVLand website. According to the information posted there, the new Sony drive (DRU-500A) would support both DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/+RW at the highest available recording speeds...

Specs:
- 4X DVD-R writing
- 2X DVD-RW writing
- 2.4x DVD+R writing
- 2.4X DVD+RW writing
- ?X DVD-ROM reading
- ?X CD-R and ?X CD-RW
- Internal IDE drive
- Expected ship date, Fall 2002
