RealNetworks offers free CD Writing upgrade for users

NTI (NewTech Infosystems, Inc.) announced it has entered into an agreement with RealNetworks®, Inc. (Nasdaq: RNWK), to provide NTI's CD burning technologies for RealNetworks RealOne Player, the world's first universal media player.

NTI's CD burning engine is now integrated into the latest version of the RealOne Player, enabling users to quickly and reliably burn authorized multimedia content to CD at speeds of up to 52X (depending on the speed of their writer) without purchasing premium upgrades. The agreement will also enable RealNetworks to integrate advanced CD formats into the RealOne Player, so that users will have a truly comprehensive audio-visual multimedia experience. The new version of the RealOne Player is available for download at: www.real.com.

"NTI provides enabling technology to customers who demand state-of-the-art, high-performance CD burning solutions. We have been providing such solutions since the beginning of CD recordable technologies; our proprietary CD burning engine is proven, reliable, and super fast, " said Mr. Bill Yao, President & CEO of NTI. "We're extremely excited that RealNetworks has chosen NTI. Working with RealNetworks gives us a premier partner who will bring exciting NTI technologies to literally tens of millions of consumers, who can now truly enjoy a better CD burning experience."

"NTI's CD burning solution clearly stands out due to its high performance, excellent compatibility, and a very small footprint that is simply ideal for integrating into the RealOne Player," said Mr. Phil Barrett, Senior Vice President, Consumer Division, RealNetworks, Inc. "We are very delighted to work with NTI as their technologies help us to provide consumers with the best possible digital media experience."

As part of the agreement, NTI and RealNetworks will jointly market and promote each other's software products in the PC and CD drive OEM channels, as well as the software retail channel. NTI will also bundle the RealOne Player and offer it in conjunction with NTI CD-MakerTM, an award-winning, full-featured CD burning software.
