LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) technology ensures safety and integrity of data transmission with its error correcting mechanism. Furthermore, the M8V Series supports RAID Engine (Drive Array Accelerator) and Data shaping (Data management) for enhanced data transfer stability.

The series includes drives with capacities ranging from 128GB to 512GB and three year warranties. Write endurance is rated at 0.5 drive writes per day, giving the M8V a total write endurance rating on par with most consumer SSDs that have five year warranties. The M8V is available as a 2.5" drive with the model number M8VC, or as a M.2 SATA drive with model number M8VG.

Basic features of the M8V series include:

  • Plextor's PlexVault software is aimed to provide a more secured space and control privileges to users. Even if you are using a computer with others, you can still store your private data via PlexVault, hidden on the computer, as long as the computer is equipped with a Plextor SSD.
  • Plextor's PlexCompressor utilizes custom, smart-compression technology that gives the user more storage capacity without impacting system performance.
  • PlexTurbo is an intelligent SSD RAM caching solution using system RAM to accelerate SSD storage performance.
  • TrueSpeed technology keeps long-term SSD performance at like-new speeds after periods of use and when the SSD is nearly full.
