Sony shows DVD±R/RW dual optical pickup


Sony Japan, showed in the 3rd DVD+RW Asian Pacific seminar a new optical pickup and motor that supports both DVD-R and DVD+R, among with CD-R compatibility format. Sony has stated in past that by the end of this year, will produce drives that will support both DVD±R/RW formats...

Sony showed two types of optical pickups: For internal drives and for slim-line drives (notebook or external).
