News: PleXWriter PX-W4012U and CyQve MP3 Deluxe hardware reviews

Today we post two more hardware reviews. This time we examine a new Plextor drive, this time external with the codename PX-W4012U and a portable MP3 player from CyQve...

- PleXWriter PX-W4012U: Plextor's latest model with the codename PX-W4012A was the first recorder that supported 40x writing, leading the writing race. The external USB version of this drive is the PleXWriter PX-W4012U v1.02. The USB 2.0 interface allows manufacturers to develop external drives based to ATAPI ones, with not any performance limitations and additionally, with plug&play features. The firmware of PX-W4012A is new and there will be possible performance variations between this drive and its internal brother.

- CyQve MP3 Deluxe: Many manufactures lately introduce mini-CD (8cm) players instead of the traditional memory based players. The reason is obvious. The lower cost of storage space, since CD-R media is very cheap. CyQve introduced in Taipei 2002 their latest MP3 player based upon the same principal and adds several interested features compared to the traditional proposals from other manufacturers.
