LG announces GCE-8480B (48/16/48) CAV recorder


LG announced a new recorder with the GCE-8480B codename. The drive supports 48x writing, 16x re-writing, 48x reading, 2MB buffer and SuperLink as the main buffer-underrun technology. The new drive is expected to hit the market middle of July...

CD-R 8x, 12x, 16x (CLV), 24x (P-CAV), 32x (P-CAV), 40x (CAV), 48x (CAV)
CD-RW 4x, 10x, 12x, 16x
Reading Speeds 48x (CAV)
- 2MB Buffer + SuperLink anti-buffer underrun technology
- 100ms access time
