BHA's B's Recorder GOLD5 adds support for DVD-RAM/R drives

At TECHXNY/PC Expo today, B.H.A® Corporation announced authoring support for Panasonic's new DVD Multi--- drive with BHA's latest application for Windows® users, B's Recorder GOLD5. Panasonic's new DVD/CD Burner reads/writes DVD-R, DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, CD-R and CD-RW discs.

Support for Panasonic's next-generation multifunction drive enables B's Recorder GOLD5 users to take full advantage of all of the application's intuitive recording features whether burning data, audio clips or MPEG video to any of the industry's standard CD and DVD formats. PC Expo attendees will be among the first to experience B's Recorder GOLD5 at the Recordable DVD Pavilion #2422.

With its all-new, intuitive GUI, even first-time users of B's Recorder GOLD5 can successfully record without opening the manual. An optional, step-by-step wizard function is also available to guide users through the entire CD/DVD burning process, preventing disc or drive errors and ensuring ease of use. The software's modular architecture makes B's Recorder GOLD5 comprehensive enough for the inexperienced, while providing the advanced features required by experts.

"Panasonic multi-drive users can take full advantage of an entire 9.4GB DVD-RW or DVD-R disc performing single or multi-recording sessions of data, audio, video or any combination of the three," said Bryan Love, Director Marketing & Business Development for B.H.A Software Corporation. "Combined with the comprehensive user interface, B's Recorder GOLD5 allows users to quickly and creatively produce their own digital content right from the box, with zero learning curve."

"BHA software and the DVD Multi provide a new level of flexibility that can help users achieve substantial savings," said Dana Berzin, Storage Product Manager for Panasonic Industrial Company. "Combined, they provide an all-in-one DVD/CD storage solution with the security of write-once; the flexibility of rewritable; broad compatibility; and the ability to choose between 9.4GB, 4.7GB or 700MB capacities."

Because the new Panasonic DVD/CD Burners are DVD Forum compliant, the video a consumer creates of their child's soccer game can be played on grandma's DVD player. B's Recorder GOLD5 automatically formats DVD-RAM/RW or R media quickly and easily, enabling users to write data, audio or video files, and whole disc duplication.

Availability

Panasonic-branded DVD Multi drives will begin shipping in October 2002 and will be priced at less than $500.
