TDK to introduce DVD writers this spring

TDK today announced that it will enter the PC DVD writer market this spring. The TDK DVD writer will be designed to give PC users the broadest range of flexibility in creative video/audio applications. Full product details of the company's upcoming line of DVD writers will be announced at the CeBIT Show in Germany this March.

In addition to its ability to archive large volumes of data, TDK's upcoming DVD writers will offer users an unprecedented level of creativity for video and sound applications. A unique, cutting edge software suite will let users create dynamic presentations with ease, edit camcorder footage in exciting new ways, archive their personal video collections and much more.

"TDK has a long history of providing consumers with the very best tools to help in the creative recording process," noted TDK's Executive Director of Marketing, Bruce Youmans. "Our background as a technology leader in optical media, as well as the success of our veloCD line of CD burners and our commitment to being a full-line solution provider for digital recording, positions us for leadership in the premium DVD writer market. With the introduction of DVD writers, we can now offer users every option in optical recording - CD-RW, ML-enhanced CD-RW and DVD, along with TDK Certified Plus media that they can trust for maximum performance and compatibility."
