TransGaming Technologies uses SafeDisc on Linux Platform


Macrovision announced today that TransGaming Technologies Inc., creator of software portability solutions that allows high demand games to seamlessly operate on the Linux platform, has signed a license agreement to implement Macrovision's SafeDisc LT copy protection solution.

``We are pleased to be working with Macrovision, the foremost authority in copy protection software. Our adaptation of Macrovision's SafeDisc solution to function on Linux is an essential element in protecting the IP of TransGaming's partners,'' said Vikas Gupta, President and COO of TransGaming. Brian McPhail, Vice President of Macrovision's computer software division added, ``It's the first time that Macrovision's copy protection is being applied to the Linux platform, demonstrating SafeDisc's flexibility, robustness and effectiveness for the software market.
