Yamaha announces CRW70 with 2 years of warranty!

The CRW70 from Yamaha represents state-of-the-art burner technology which is lightweight, has a practical format and an attractive design. The CRW70 avails of all of the features required of a burner nowadays: fast technology with 12x writing speed, 8x rewriting, 24x reading and 24x audio extraction, Partial-CAV (CAV = Constant Angular Velocity) writing method which permits data to be burned on CDs at top quality and without any "links", and SafeBurn technology offering 100% protection from buffer underruns.

The CRW70 can also be used as a stand-alone MP3-player / audio CD-player. The device will be available as of early November at a recommended retail price of 399,00.

The winning features of the Compact CRW70 are its flat (136 [W] x 29 [H] x 184 [D] mm), high-quality titanium design and the fact that it resembles most portable CD-players with its top-loading feature. This functional design permits the CD to be accessed swiftly. The CRW70 is more than a CD-Writer: Another exclusive feature of the CRW70 is its
MP3 playback function permitting the user to enjoy more than 10 hours of music on a single CD. But the CRW70 can also be used as a stand-alone CD-player as all of the operating buttons are accommodated on the actual CRW70 itself.

The compact CRW-70 avails of the new, ultra-fast USB 2.0 connection permitting high-speed CD recording. And the CRW-70 is also compatible with the USB 1.1 interface. Retail kits include the award-winning burn software from Ahead: Nero 5.5, InCD 2.0, NeroMIX and the Nero Toolkit. Also included: an AC Adapter, a USB 2.0 cable, an audio cable (MiniPlug-MiniPlug), 1 CD-R and 1 CD-RW blank as well as a set of operating instructions.
