Archos ships MiniCDRW II (16/10/24) with USB 2.0/FireWire connection


Archos has taken the CDRW market to a new level of efficiency and portability with the MiniCDRW II -- the fastest, smallest and most compact CD-writer on the market. This unique, multi-connection CD-RW drive could fulfill many holiday wish lists by offering a quick, portable and easy-to-use tool for burning CDs. Depending upon your system requirements, the MiniCDRW II offers a choice of USB 2.0 or FireWire or PC Card Interface.

The MiniCDRW II can transfer data by writing up to 16x speed on CD-R and updating and rewriting at up to 10x on a CD-RW. The size of a portable hand-held CD player, measuring 6.3 x 5.1 x 1.2 inches and weighing just 18 ounces (500 grams), the new Archos MiniCDRW II is the must have, multi-task tool for personal and professional storage on CDs. The MiniCDRW II package includes an interface cable (depending on the version chosen: USB 2.0 (compatible with USB 1.1), FireWire, or PC Card, mastering software (PC or Mac), a carrying pouch, 12V AC adapter, a manual in five languages and driver. The MiniCDRW II is available from leading retailers throughout the United States for $179.
